This is an AOBA Certified Alpaca Fleece Show and all applicable rules apply.

Judging is closed to the public – Judges comments to be announced
Fleeces will be on display with results and ribbons following completion of judging
Awards:
- 1st through 6th place ribbons
- Champion and Reserve Champion awards will be given if minimum requirements are met
- Special huacaya awards: Best Crimp, Best Hand, and Best Brightness
- Special suri awards: Best Hand, Best Luster, and Best Lock Formation
- Best Prepared Fleece in show
- Judge's Choice of show
Fees:
- $40 if entry form is postmarked on or before September 15, 2009
- $60 if entry form is postmarked after September 15, 2009
- AOBA Show Division Fee: $6 per entry
Exhibitors must supply:
- A copy of each alpaca's ARI Registration Certificate
- Mandatory Exhibitor’s Disclosure Form
- Owner of Record for Show Entry Form (formerly Buyer's Permission to Show) if applicable
Guidelines:
- Fleece must have been shorn between October 17, 2008 and October 31, 2009
- Categories: Huacaya (H) and Suri (S)
- Fleeces to be presented in clear plastic bags with no colored drawstrings, labels or writing
- Each entry must include a completed Fleece Show Entry Tag in the fleece bag
- Color: Match to ARI color chart and AOBA 2009 show system handbook color definitions.
- Entries limited to maximum of 3 entries per breed type, per age division (at shearing), per color designation
- Fleece Check In: Fleeces brought to the show must be checked in by 6:00 pm on Friday, October 30, 2009 at the Fleece Event Area at the Champlain Valley Exposition
- Fleece Mail In: Fleeces may also be mailed NO LATER THAN OCTOBER 15, 2009 with a copy of your entry form to:

- You must include return postage from the US Postal Office to have your entries and awards returned to you. Entries not picked up or without adequate prepaid postage WILL NOT BE RETURNED.
- You, or your representative, may pick up fleece entries on Sunday November 1, 2009 – time will be announced
Length of Fiber:
- Minimum fleece length is 3" regardless of age or type of alpaca (huacaya or suri)
- Huacaya: no maximum length for alpacas 12 months or younger
- Huacaya: 8" maximum for first birthday and older
- Suri: Juvenile – minimum 3" to no maximum ~ Yearling – minimum 3" to no maximum
- Suri: Minimum length of entire fleece presented to be 3" with no maximum under 2nd birthday,
with a maximum of 9" for 2nd birthday and older.

Colors may be combined into Color Groups, such as Lights, Darks or Mixed depending on the number of entries.
Show Management reserves right to place entries in appropriate class and division.
Management also reserves right to combine classes if there are less than four entries in a given class.
AOBA, GMAA Ventures LLC, and the Green Mountain Alpaca Fall Spectacular sponsors
assume no liability for fleeces entered in the show.
This fleece show shall follow all rules and guidelines in accordance to AOBA Fleece Show Rules.
