This is an AOBA Certified Alpaca Fleece Show and all applicable rules apply. Make sure you have read you 2008 AOBA Show Division Handbook to become familiar with AOBA Rules regarding Fleece Shows

Entry Fee: $40.00 per entry
AOBA Show Division Fee: $6.00 per entry

Judging: November 1-2, 2008. Judging is closed to the public. Judges comments to be announced.

The Fleece Show will be judged Saturday and Sunday morning, if needed, and fleeces will be on display with results and ribbons following completion of judging.

Exhibitors must supply a copy of each alpaca's ARI Registration Certificate, Mandatory Exhibitor’s Disclosure Form and Buyer's Permission to Show if applicable with entries, only current owners of the alpaca can enter its fleece.

The Exhibitor rule applies. Each owner is limited to a maximum of three fleeces per breed type, per age division (at shearing) per color designation.

Exhibitors must include a completed Fleece Show Entry Tag in the fleece bag when dropped off at the show.

Fleeces may be mailed to the Green Mountain Alpaca Fall Spectacular at the address below or be delivered to the show on Friday, October 31, 2008 by 6:00pm to the Fleece Event Area at the Champlain Valley Exposition. You do not have to be an attendee at the show to enter fleeces.

The Fleece Judge will select several fleeces to receive special awards in addition to the 1st through 6th Ribbons. For the huacaya they are: Best Crimp, Best Hand, and Best Brightness. For the suris they are: Best Hand, Best Luster, and Best Lock Formation. The Fleece Show Judge will also award for Huacaya and Suri, one award for Best Prepared Fleece and Judge's Choice. Champion and Reserve Champion awards will be given if minimum requirements are met.

Color Groups:
A. 6 through 12 months D-Darks (TB BB DB MB LB)
B. 1st birthday through 24 months F-Fawns (DF MF LF)
C. 2nd birthday through 36 months L-Lights (BG W)
D. 3rd birthday through 60 months G-Grays (RG SG)
E. 5th birthday and older M-Multicolors (pattern, pinto, fancy, appaloosa, roan)
  IL-Indefinite Lights
  ID-Indefinite Darks
Colors may be combined into Color Groups, such as Lights, Darks or Mixed depending on the number of entries.

Show Management reserves right to place entries in appropriate class and division. Management also reserves right to combine classes if there are less than four entries in a given class. AOBA, NEVAA, Green Mountain Alpaca Fall Spectacular sponsors assume no liability for fleeces entered in the show.

MAILED IN FLEECES MUST BE RECEIVED BY OCTOBER 25, 2008 TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE SHOW.
You must include return postage from the US Postal Office to have your entries and awards returned to you after the 2008 Green Mountain Alpaca Fall Spectacular. You or a representative that you designate may also pick up the fleece entries after 2:00pm Sunday November 2 2008. Entries not picked up or without adequate prepaid postage WILL NOT BE RETURNED.

This fleece show shall follow all rules and guidelines in accordance to AOBA Fleece Show Rules.
