2008 Green Mountain Alpaca Fall Spectacular
Photo Contest
We all have those special photos of our alpacas that we enjoy showing off to friends and family. Here’s your chance to show off your photography skills and those special alpaca moments.

All attendees and alpaca owners are invited to participate in the 2008 Green Mountain Alpaca Fall Spectacular Photo Contest. Photos will be judged by our Show Photographer, Don Whipple of Whipple Studio, on creativity, composition, content and artistic merit.

The top three placings of each category will receive ribbons.

There are five categories:

1. Cria(s) – crias caught at a special moment
2. Alpaca(s) - At least one alpaca is to be shown interacting with other animals, humans or inanimate objects.
3. General – Any picture that includes an alpaca
4. Youth – for ages 18 and under. Any picture that includes an alpaca (Sizes – 5x7)
5. Computer Enhanced – Any picture that includes an alpaca

People’s Choice Award – This category will be voted on by show attendees from all the entries submitted.

Only the following information should be on a label on the back of each photo:

• Category
• Farm name
• Photographer's name
• Address
• Phone number

Competition Rules:

Format must be 8 "x 10".* Except the Youth Division.
Only one photo per category per farm permitted.
All photos must contain at least one alpaca.
No photos are to be submitted that have been previously published elsewhere.
Each photo may only be entered in one category.
No matting or frames will be allowed.
All entries must be mailed, no e-mail or faxed entries accepted

The Judge's decision is final and the People's Choice Award will be by most votes cast by the show attendees. The winner of the People’s Choice Award will be determined by Noon on Sunday, November 2, 2008.

Submission of photo(s) permits NEVAA the organizers of the Green Mountain Alpaca Fall Spectacular to publish photo in a newsletter and/or website. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons will be awarded in each category.

Ribbons will be displayed at the 2008 Green Mountain Alpaca Fall Spectacular Show.

Ribbons and photos may be picked up from photo contest display after 2pm on Sunday, November 2, 2008.

Deadline for photo contest entries is October 15, 2008.

There is an $8.00 entry fee per photo.
