2008 General Information
Entering the 2008 Show ~
(Halter, Open Public Relations, Youth Public Relations, Youth Costume Class)
  1. Fill out the HALTER/PERFORMANCE SHOW ENTRY FORM. Please refer to the chart for the Class Type or #. Due to the time of year of the show there will be no shorn or composite halter classes.
  2. A copy of each alpaca’s ARI Registration Certificate MUST be attached to the entry form. Pursuant to AOBA Show Division Handbook Part 6, Section 2 P.1. Any entry received without the copy of the ARI Registration Certificate attached will not be processed.**

** Start the registration process early on the alpacas you intend to show to avoid disappointment.
  3. If the ARI Registration Certificate is not in your name, you must obtain a Buyer's Permission to Show Form – a form is enclosed for your convenience, you may make additional copies as needed.
Remember to have the necessary travel/health papers ready for inspection for your alpaca(s) when you arrive at the show.

2008 Stall Limits/Information

The stalls will be 8'x8'. There is a limit of 3 juveniles or 2 yearling/adults per stall. If you have a double stall then the limit is 7 juveniles or 5 yearling/adults.

Pen panels and straw bedding will be provided and set up according to your stalling diagram.

All alpacas entering the facility MUST be entered in the Halter Show and/or Performance Classes. If you are bringing only 1 alpaca consider sharing a stall with a fellow breeder.

Stall assignments will be made on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS based on the postmark of entry. We will have a limited number of "Prime Real Estate" stalls (those stalls that are closest to the show rings). Priority will be given to sponsors according to their level of sponsorship and entry date. This year we will be limiting 10 stalls per individual farm.

All alpacas must be in their stalls no later than 6pm Friday, October 31, 2008.

If you would like to have a farm display, remember to request a stall space for that purpose as the aisles must be kept clear.

Vet on Call ~

There will be a veterinarian on call throughout the Green Mountain Alpaca Fall Spectacular. If his/her services are needed during open show hours, please contact Norm Limoges, Barn Manager or have the announcer page him/her.

In order to better protect yourself and your alpacas, please fill out the emergency contact information in your show packet and attached it to your stalls.

Emergency Information ~

In the event of a physical emergency please either come or send someone to the announcer's table. Emergency care, depending on the nature of the emergency will be provided at the venue.

Venue after Hours Access ~

There will be night security at the venue and you will have access to your alpacas at any time. However, for the safety and security of everyone’s alpacas, access outside venue hours will be permitted only through the main entrance into the Robert E. Miller Expo Centre. You will be required to sign in order to gain entry to the facility and must have your Show ID Badge for entrance.
The Buildings will be locked from 9:00pm ~ 6:00am.
